About Me

While I am still in the early phases of my design career, I belive I am off to a promising start. Through my four undergraduate years, I have supplemented my engineering degree with a plethora of design projects. I believe the inegration of engineering principles into all design decisions is an absolute necessity. Only through these principles can trully robust designs come to fruition. Beyond this however, are the two most important ways to describe desirable design; clarity and simplicity.

Beyond the project world, I have many extracurricular interests. I satisfy my passion for aerospace through my involvment with the Northwestern University Space Technology and Rocketry Society, currently serving as President. We compete in annual NASA funded competitions in Alabama. In the philanthropic realm, I lend part of my time to Dance Marathon; an annual 30 hour long dance fest which donates its proceeds to an annually selected childrens non-profit.  Thank you for taking to the time to get to know me and I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

John McCartney
