Design Process
These three teamwork based design projects follow the design process from conception through protyping to design. The projects feature the use of technical writing, project management and presentation skills combined with a plethora of fabrication techniques.

The Clean Up is a autonomous pool cleaner designed to clean the walls of the stingray tanks at Shedd Aquarium. The cleaner uses the force of a water jet to propel itslef along the tank floor, adjusting to the tank geometry as it moves about.

The Hypno Shroom is a custom made injection molded childrens toy made of several parts snapping together. The parts and molds were designed in CAD and created with the help of CAM on Haas mills. A full production run was completed on an injection molding machine at the conclsion of the project.

The Heel Lift ReNU is a project worked on in conjunction with a local medical device company. Our team worked to design a heel ulcer care boot that was capable of being reused to minimize landfill contributions. A prototype was designed to utilize recycled foam in replacable compartments.
